Our Pastor

Hi. My name is Rick Jarmer, Pastor of Boones Ferry Community Church for over 18 years. I am husband to my best friend, Laurie and father to my six wonderful children. I was raised in Portland and trained at two fine Christian institutions in Portland as well. I have been a follower of Jesus Christ since 1972. I have been in full-time Christian service for 24 years. My desire is to run my race until my race is finished.

We invite you to explore our web site and see how many smiles you can count. The people at BFCC smile a lot because the church body naturally functions as a family. With so many people caring about you, you just have to smile!

We do lots of things together...we're a family! We go camping together, we all work together on Vacation Bible School, many of us went to Honduras to help build a church building, and much more. Check out the Church Family Life button above to see us in action.

Our latest project was starting a community garden on the church property so neighbors who don't have room to grow their own vegetables will now be able to do so. See our garden web site HERE.

We get great teaching right from God's Word every Sunday. Pastor Rick Jarmer spends much of every week studying The Word and then delivers it on Sunday with practical suggestions for applying it in our daily lives. You may listen to recent sermons by clicking the button above.

Our worship music is of the "praise" variety with an occasional favorite hymn. Our musical instruments add to our worship, but never play a dominant role.

Children, of course, are welcome at the Sunday service but most of them choose to go downstairs to Children's Church which starts just before the sermon.

You will notice from the pictures on this web site that there is a whole lot of "fellowshipp'n" going on at BFCC. Almost everyone hangs around after the service to get caught up with other family member's joys and hurts.

Come join us! Sunday service starts at 10:30 am and is over by noon. Adult Sunday school starts at 9 am.
